Sources close to the situation have confirmed to College Baseball Daily that Miami (FL) LHP Erik Erickson has receieved another year of eligibility. Erickson had an injury riddled career with the Hurricanes from 2007-2010 in which he had “Tommy-John” surgery which caused him to miss the 2009 season and ended up having it again after the 2010 season. Erickson took the 2011 season off from baseball to recover from the second surgery and will be back on the mound for the Canes in 2012.
This is great news for the Canes who return all four of their top pitchers from last year in Bryan Radziewski, Eric Whaley, E.J. Encinosa, and Steven Ewing.
