Everyone knows the story behind Arizona State’s Cory Hahn or Georgia’s Johnathan Taylor suffering devastating neck injuries this past spring. There was another spinal cord injury that happened just before the 2011 MLB Draft to San Jacinto College’s Buddy Lamothe who suffered an injury which has severely hurt his mobility. The Astros ended up selecting Lamothe in the 40th round in the 2011 MLB Draft.
The team honored Lamothe last month by letting him throw out the first pitch and recently surprised him with a donation of a van to help with transportation to his daily treatments. You can check out the full article from MLB.com by clicking here.
