Oregon State’s Pat Casey looking into Retirement

OregonLive.com is reporting that current Oregon State head coach Pat Casey has had conversations about retiring from coaching and accepting an administrative job at the school. Casey has coached the last 17 years in Corvallis winning the NCAA National Championship in both 2006 and 2007. This past season, the Beavers went 41-19 while winning the Corvallis Regional and bowing out against Vanderbilt in the Super Regionals. According to OregonLive.com, Casey would be turning down an immense amount of money based on his contract detailed below.

Casey is in the middle of a 10-year contract that runs through 2016. Casey’s annual base salary is $293,556. He also receives $35,000 for media appearances and a $10,000 car allowance. The contract includes up to $110,000 in bonuses tied to both the academic and on-field success of his team.
