Texas A&M pitcher John Stilson sidelined with torn labrum

It was announced today that Texas A&M starting pitcher John Stilson will need surgery to repair a torn labrum. The injury supposedly occurred during the Aggies’ May 5th contest against Dallas Baptist, with Stilson continuing to pitch through the Big 12 Tournament.

No word yet on how this injury and surgery may impact Stilson’s chances in the draft next Monday. Stilson is currently projected to be a first round pick, with a chance to go in the top 15 picks.
