UNLV sophomore RHP Brady Zuniga was hit by a Matt Andriese line drive to his head tonight during the Rebels game against UC-Riverside. Brady is from Monterey Park, California and his family was in attendance according to reports. He was down for roughly 15 minutes before being taking away by ambulance. The good news is that he was conscious when he left the field. This is a story that is just breaking and we will update with more information as it becomes available. Video of the incident is below.

UNLV Baseball SID Paul Pancoe tweeted out the following about Zuniga’s condition at 2:07 AM.
Pitcher Brady Zuniga will remain in California tonight but was responsive to doctors after being hit by a line drive in tonight’s game.

Zuniga released from hospital, will stay in california with parents tonight, travel back to vegas tomorrow
This is great news and hopefully we see Brady back on the mound soon.

Who hit that ball? Was it Ryan Goetz of UCR? Ironic if so, as he is also a Bishop Amat Alum.

Parents of UCR baseball are glad he is ok. We hope he has a quick recovery and joins his team soon. Our thoughts are with him and his family.
