Hey everyone, hope you are having a good start to the week. I should have known that once I wrote about the great weather that I would jinx it. The weather in Nashville was cold, rainy, and gloomy all week. It is more difficult to workout when the weather is cold or wet because the baseball becomes slick and because the rain may affect our vision. However, we play in bad weather, so we workout in bad weather too. We have a saying that “it is always 70 (degrees) and sunny at Hawkins Field,” because if we have the right mindset, the weather will not affect us.
Most of the locker room chatter has been about the Vanderbilt Baseball Dance Off. Last week, CBD posted the video of Navery Moore, Jack Armstrong, and Mark Lamm, three of our pitchers, competing in a dance off. You can check it out below.
You can vote for your winner by clicking here.
My endorsement goes to Mark Lamm—as you can see from the video, Navery and Jack are both blessed with some good rhythm. Mark…not so much. But he gave it all he had, and at the end of the day, his effort wins my vote. The winner will be announced at our baseball banquet on Saturday.
It’s hard to believe that the season is only ten days away, but we can’t wait to be in San Diego on the 18th.
That’s all for now. Go ’Dores

And here I was positive that this was the reason it was always mid- to high-90s and Sonny in Nashville: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_TBQ_l017n4c/S19AWOn46xI/AAAAAAAABHk/WM3r6RPngp0/s400/sonny+ad.jpg
