Andy Gardiner of USA Today has an outstanding article on Wake Forest head coach Tom Walter who recently donated his kidney to freshman outfielder Kevin Jordan. He became ill in January of 2010 as it was determined that his kidneys were functioning at only 8 percent and needed an immediate transfer. His family was tested but none of them were a match but Coach Walter was tested and was considered a high match.
