In what was thought to be McGee’s last season in Tallahassee, McGee came into 2010 as a Second Team Preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball and a Third Team Preseason All-American by the NCBWA. He didn’t disappoint as he had an oustading junior campaign by hitting .328 with 17 homers and 73 RBI. He also served the team as the closer routinely coming in from his left field spot to finish off the game. He finished the season with a 4-1 record including 13 saves while accumulating an ERA of 2.96. He earned Pro-Line Athletic NCBWA first team honors, All-ACC first team honors and he took home the inaugural John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award following his solid season. McGee was also named a Collegiate Baseball third team All-American as a relief pitcher and a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award.
McGee was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 41st round but decided to stay at Florida State for his senior season. He has already been named a Preseason First All-American Utility Player by the NCBWA for the upcoming season and should be one of the top players in the ACC again.

Good selection. He, Woodie, and Klafczynski are about the only Seniors who were freshman AA back in 2008.
