CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2011 Harvard baseball schedule is now complete and available for viewing. Head coach Joe Walsh’s team will play a 43-game regular season schedule beginning March 4.
The Crimson opens play that weekend in the Carolinas with a four-game set at Jacksonville State The following week sees the team head back south for an extended trip with 10 games in as many days. The Crimson plays a four-game set at Wofford, two games at Mercer, one game at Kennesaw State and three games at Charlotte.
Following a four-game weekend at New York Tech March 26-27, the Crimson opens its home schedule against Holy Cross on March 30.
That same weekend, Harvard will begin Ivy League play with road twinbills at Pennsylvania and Columbia. The team opens its home league schedule April 9-10 with double headers against Princeton and Cornell.
Harvard will once again compete in the annual Beanpot Tournament with Boston College, Northeastern and Massachusetts. Dates for those games are currently April 13 and 20.
The Ivy League championship series is slated for May 7-8 at the site of the higher seeded team. NCAA Tournament play begins May 27.
