SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall baseball team has announced their schedule for the 2011 season.

The Pirates will open the year with 13-straight road games including the BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge, a trip to Chapel Hill for three-games against North Carolina, and a spring break trip to Florida where they will face Florida International, Florida Atlantic, and a neutral site game against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.

Following their season-long road trip, the Hall will host Manhattan before welcoming Fordham, Stony Brook, and NJIT for their fourth Strike Out Cancer Tournament in three seasons. Upon completion of the tournament, they will have one last tune-up against Monmouth before beginning the BIG EAST portion of their schedule.

Beginning on April 6, Seton Hall will play nine of their next 10 games at home including a weekend against 2010 BIG EAST Champion St. John’s and another weekend against USF.

The Pirates season will continue with conference road opponents such as West Virginia, Notre Dame, and Cincinnati. They will host the 2010 BIG EAST Regular Season Champion Louisville Cardinals and Georgetown.

Other non-conference opponents include FDU, Army, Wagner, NYIT, Saint Peter’s, and Fordham.
