SHREVEPORT-Young children dream of meeting college athletes and it was evident when the Centenary baseball team took time off late last week to visit Shriners Hospital for Children right up the road from where they represent Centenary on the field.
While at Shriners, the Gents participated in a meet-and-greet with the young children and signed autographed baseballs.
“We look forward to visiting Shriners every year. It is a great way to have our team represent Centenary baseball in the local community,” said head coach Mike Diaz.
The Gents visit the hospital at least once a year and are looking forward to returning in December during the Christmas holidays.
