Former Alabama head coach Jim Wells will serve as an assistant baseball coach at Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. Wells served as the Alabama head coach for 12 seasons accumulating a 625-322 (.656) overall record. He led the Crimson Tide to six SEC Tourney crowns, three SEC West Titles, and two overall SEC championships. He also brought the Crimson Tide to the College World Series on three occasions. Before heading to Tuscaloosa, Wells spent five years at Northwestern State as the head coach leading the team to Southland conference championships in 1991, 1993, and 1994.
