The Oregon Ducks had a remarkable 2010 season as they went 40-23 making the Norwich Regional Final before losing to Florida State. One of the biggest question marks is who will replace Eddie Rodriguez behind the plate next season. They have transfer Brett Hambright, freshman Aaron Jones and freshman Stefan Sabol all competing for the starting spot. If they can find the answer behind the plate then the Ducks will be able to contend for a spot in Omaha in 2011.
Coach Horton stresses before every season with his squad about the goal to make Omaha stating:
"We always talk about going to Omaha, We did in the first year, and we did in the second year, but I truly expect this group to compete to go to the College World Series and compete there. I think we’re ready to do that.”
