The LSU Tigers have posted their 2011 schedule which features 56 games including 37 games played at Alex Box Stadium. They will open the 2011 campaign with a three game set against Wake Forest in Baton Rouge from February 18-20. After a mid-week game against New Orleans on February 22nd, the Tigers will host the Holy Cross Crusaders from the Patriot League for a three game set. The following weekend, LSU will host Princeton for three games from March 4th-6th. The best non-conference series for LSU comes the weekend of March 11th-13th when the Cal-State Fullerton Titans make the trip east.
LSU will open the road portion of their schedule on Wednesday March 16th when they take on Nicholls State in Thibodaux, La. They will open up SEC play two days later on March 18th when 2010 SEC Regular Season champion Florida visits Alex Box for a three game set. The Tigers will also host SEC opponents Ole Miss (April 1st-3rd), Auburn (April 15th-17th), Kentucky (April 29th-May 1st), and Tennessee (May 13th-15th). LSU will have their first SEC road series on March 25th-27th when they visit Athens GA to take on the Georgia Bulldogs. They will also play road SEC series against Arkansas (April 8th-10th), Vanderbilt (April 22nd-24th), Alabama (May 6th-8th), and Mississippi State (May 19th-21st).
