Oregon State 6 Florida Atlantic 4
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tyler Smith hit his first home run in two months and Greg Peavey allowed two hits over 6 1/3 innings to pace the Oregon State baseball team past Florida Atlantic, 6-4, in the opening game of the Gainesville Regional Friday afternoon at McKethan Stadium.
The Beavers held on for the two-run win after the Owls scored four runs late in the game to make it interesting. However, Oregon State’s offensive attack, which provided Peavey with 10 hits, proved to be enough.
