TCU 16, Lamar 3
FORT WORTH, Texas – The Horned Frogs rode a solid pitching performance from Kyle Winkler and finished 17 hits en route to securing a 16-3 victory over Lamar in the second game of the Fort Worth Regional held at Lupton Stadium on Friday evening.
The TCU sophomore allowed one earned run on seven hits over 6.0 innings of action en route to securing his 11th victory of the season.
Winkler struck out six hitters and surrendered one walk against the Cardinals.
Arizona 10, Baylor 9
FORT WORTH, Texas – The Arizona Wildcats held on in dramatic fashion to top Baylor, 10-9, in the first game of the Fort Worth Regional on Friday afternoon at Lupton Stadium.
The No. 3 seed Wildcats took a 10-4 lead into the ninth inning, but had to withstand a furious five-run rally by the No. 2 Bears to win by one win. Baylor, which left 12 runners on base, had the tying and winning runs on base when Bryce Bandilla got Raynor Campbell to fly out to right field to end the game.
