Here are some of the best mid-week matchups to watch for tonight.
#14 Arkansas at #15 Oklahoma
The Arkansas Razorbacks make the trek to Norman Oklahoma tonight to take on the Oklahoma Sooners. Arkansas enters the game with a 38-14 overall record but are on a three game losing streak thanks to the South Carolina Gamecocks who swept them in Fayetteville over the weekend. Arkansas will send freshman LHP Randall Fant to the hill as he has a 3-1 record with a 4.05 ERA in 33.1 innings. The Sooners enter the game with a 37-14 record after taking the last two games of a three game weekend series with Memphis. The Sooners will send junior RHP Michael Rocha to the mound as he is 6-1 with a 3.70 ERA in 15 appearances including two starts.

Florida Gulf Coast at #13 Miami
The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles make the trip to Coral Gables to take on perennial power Miami (FL). This game was originally scheduled to be played back on February 24th but was postponed due to rain. The Eagles were scheduled to throw ace pitcher Chris Sale in that game as they were trying to get a victory over a nationally ranked squad. They will not have the chance to toss Sale at the Canes tonight as Jack Wagoner is expected to take the ball as he is 1-3 with a 4.20 ERA in 23 appearances (1 start) for a total of 30 innings. The Hurricanes enter the game with a 37-13 record after dropping two out of three games to Georgia Tech over the weekend in ACC action. They will send freshman LHP Steven Ewing to the hill as he is 2-2 with a 6.75 ERA in five appearances including four starts for a total of 18.2 innings of work.
Kentucky at Murray State
The Kentucky Wildcats hit the road tonight to take on the Murray State Racers in their final non-conference action of the season. The Wildcats are coming off a three game weekend sweep over LSU and enter with a 29-23 overall record. They will need to keep their focus on the prize tonight as the Racers are a formidable opponent. They enter with a 25-22-1 record and are led by one of the top players in the country in Wes Cunningham who is hitting .436 with 18 homers and 74 RBI. I had rated Cunningham as the 87th best player in the country during the preseason and now I would have him much closer to my top 20 with the ridiculous numbers he is putting up right now.
Pittsburgh at Ohio State
The Pittsburgh Panthers head to Columbus Ohio today to take on the Buckeyes in an important non-conference game for both squads. Pitt enters with a 36-14 overall record as they are coming off a weekend series win over Big East foe Cincinnati. The Panthers enter the day with an RPI of 47 as they have struggled in mid-week action with only a 4-5 record. They are led by Joe Leonard who is hitting .437 with eight homers and 68 RBI. CBB contributor Kat Cornetta talked with Leonard a few weeks back and you can read the full article by clicking here. I talked with Pitt head coach Joe Jordano before the season and my interview with him is available by clicking here. Ohio State enters with a 27-21 overall record after losing two out of three games at Iowa over the weekend. They are led on offense by Zach Hurley who is hitting .396 with 7 homers and 38 RBI.
