FAYETTEVILLE – Down to his final strike, and the team’s last out, Collin Kuhn hit his first career grand slam off Kentucky closer Matt Little to send the No. 10 University of Arkansas baseball team to a 17-16 win over the Wildcats Sunday afternoon at Baum Stadium. The Razorbacks trailed by three runs entering the bottom of the ninth inning after giving up an eight-run lead of their own. Kuhn finished the game with a career-high four hits.

"This might be the craziest game I’ve ever been involved in," head coach Dave Van Horn said. "There was a lot of emotion out there and both teams really wanted to win. They start with a five-run lead and then we had an eight-run lead. We were down to our last strike and if you think about that last inning, McKinney got a 3-2 (count) walk, McCann had a 3-2 base hit, Wilkins got a 3-2 walk and then Collin hits a 2-2 slider with one arm.

Auburn 7 #29 Alabama 1

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Grant Dayton gave Auburn exactly what it needed on Sunday afternoon, working into the eighth, allowing one run while scattering seven hits as Auburn claimed the final game of its three-game series at No. 23 Alabama with a 7-1 win. Auburn pounded out 12 hits on the day, including three home runs, to move to 18-10, 5-4 SEC.

"My fastball command was above average and I didn’t have to throw very much off-speed, which is always a plus for me," Dayton said. "We made some great plays in the outfield today. I feel like our defense was outstanding and the score could have been different had it not been for our defense today."
