Gonzaga signs three for 2010-2011 Season
SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University head baseball coach Mark Machtolf has announced that three players have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Bulldogs for the 2010-11 school year.
Following a record setting 2009 season that produced the program’s inaugural West Coast Conference Regular and Championship Series titles along with a trip to the NCAA Tournament, the Bulldogs are set to welcome infielder Ryan Brett from Burien, Wash., left-handed pitcher/first baseman Marco Gonzales from Fort Collins, Colo. and outfielder Josh Sale out of Seattle, Wash to Gonzaga next season.
Pepperdine signs six for 2010-2011 Season
MALIBU, Calif. – Six high school prospects have signed their National Letters of Intent to compete for the Pepperdine Baseball team beginning in 2011.
The early-season signing period has landed the Waves Cody Buckel (Simi Valley, Calif./Royal HS), Scott Frazier (Upland, Calif./Upland HS), Eric Karch (Fresno, Calif./Clovis West HS), Matt Maurer (Medford, Ore./North Medford HS) and brothers Michael and Will Swanner (Cardiff, Calif./La Costa Canyon HS).
Notre Dame signs 10 for 2010-2011 Season
NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame head baseball coach Dave Schrage announced Tuesday the signing of 10 student-athletes to national letters of intent. The class will be eligible beginning in the fall of 2010. The Irish signed RHP Donnie Hissa, INF Chris Reinhart, 1B Trey Mancini, INF/OF John Rodgers, RHP Sean Fitzgerald, RHP Dan Slania, LHP Anthony McGiver, C Forrest Johnson, INF/OF Bret Basilone and INF Eric Jagielo.
"This is one of our best recruiting classes, if not the best," said fourth-year head coach Dave Schrage. "We’ve added speed, we’ve added power, we’ve added right-handed pitching, we’ve added left-handed pitching and we’ve added tremendous defense. I know that our class from a couple of years ago ranked among the top five in the country and this class is definitely right up there.

Louisville announces Third Group of Signees
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville baseball head coach Dan McDonnell announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Chad Green (Effingham, Ill.), third baseman Ryan Seiz (Perkasie, Pa.) and outfielder/left-handed pitcher Cole Sturgeon (Owensboro, Ky.) to National Letters-of-Intent during the 2010 early signing period.
The trio is the third group of signees in the Cards’ 2010 recruiting class with the remaining signees to be announced in the coming days. All of the signees in the Cards’ 2010 recruiting class will report to campus next fall and be eligible to compete in the 2011 season.
