Southern Illinois adds 10 for 2010-2011 Season

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois head baseball coach Dan Callahan announced Wednesday that the Salukis have signed 10 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to play baseball and attend school beginning in the fall of 2010.

The Salukis inked nine high school athletes and one from the junior college ranks. Of the 10 signees, six are pitchers (one left-hander and five right-handers), two are infielders and there is one catcher and one outfielder in the class.

Michael Busby rounds out UAB Recruiting Class

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The UAB baseball program recently signed Michael Busby of Hinds Community College in Raymond, Miss., to a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period.

Busby, a two-way player who began his collegiate career at Mississippi State, is preparing for his first season at Hinds this coming spring. He will then enroll at UAB for the 2010-11 academic year.

Hofstra announces 2010-2011 Early Signees

Hempstead, NY – Hofstra University Head Baseball Coach Patrick Anderson and his staff (Assistant Coaches John Russo, James Lally and Kelly Haynes) today announced their 2009-10 recruiting class. The eight-member class, consisting of Logan Davis (Cave Creek, AZ), Angelo Gargano (Hainesville, IL), Bobby Gazzola (Coram, NY), Kenny Jackson (Ronkonkoma, NY), Everett Keller (Port Washington, NY),Nick Kozlowski (Huntington Station, NY), Matt Reistetter (Hauppauge, NY) and Bryan Verbitsky (Levittown, NY) signed National Letters of Intent during the early signing period last week. The eight will begin their academic and athletic careers at Hofstra in the fall 2010.

Indiana State signs Ten for 2010-2011 Season

First-year head coach Rick Heller announced his first recruiting class as head baseball coach at Indiana State University on Wednesday (Nov. 25), with the signing of ten student-athletes in his inaugural class with the Sycamores.

"I’m extremely happy with our first recruiting class," said head coach Heller. "We will graduate eight seniors this year and could lose a couple more to the Major League Baseball draft.  Throw in the 11 seniors and two juniors drafted this past spring and we needed to have a large and talented 2010-11 class.

Milwaukee adds Seven for 2010-2011 Season

MILWAUKEE – Gunnar Eastman of Green Bay, Wis., Eric King of Fond du Lac, Wis., Sam Koenig of Prairie du Sac, Wis., Ryan Solberg of Waukesha, Wis., Tell Taylor of Burlington, Wis., Josh Uhen of Oshkosh, Wis., and Zachary Wisowaty of Clinton, Wis., have all signed National Letters of Intent to play baseball for the Panthers next season, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball head coach Scott Doffek announced today.

The entire group comes from the state of Wisconsin and each member is currently a senior in high school.
