SMITHFIELD, R.I. — Bryant University head baseball coach Jamie Pinzino is pleased to announce the Bulldogs’ 2010 schedule, to include 20 home contests as well as a full Northeast Conference slate.
The Bulldogs, who went 32-22 last season in their first year of Division I play, will open the spring season 10-straight road games, traveling south to warmer weather before returning to The Ocean State to host Boston College in the 2010 home opener on Wednesday, March 17.
Bryant will stay local for the remainder of the season, opening up Northeast Conference action on the road March 26-28, when they travel to West Long Branch, N.J. for a four-game set against Monmouth.
Throughout the season, Bryant will face off against both of Rhode Island’s other Division I institutions, hosting the University of Rhode Island on Wednesday, April 14 before welcoming Brown to the Bryant Baseball Complex on Wednesday, April 28.
The Bulldogs will faceoff against 13 different conferences in 2010: the Big East (UConn, West Virginia), the ACC (Virginia Tech, BC), the Atlantic 10 (URI), the Ivy League (Brown, Harvard), the CAA (Northeastern), the MAAC (Marist, Fairfield, Siena), the America East (Hartford), the Big South (VMI, UNC-Asheville), the Great West (Houston Baptist), the Southland Conference (Nicholls State), the Southern Conference (Davidson), the Ohio Valley Conference (UT-Martin) and the Northeast Conference.
