The CBB continues our countdown for the 2010 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today with number 95 in our countdown with Houston junior infielder Blake Kelso. He is from Pflugerville Texas where he attended Pflugerville High School. He was a four year letter winner including hitting .440 with 20 RBI and six triples.
In his freshman campaign in 2008, Kelso played in all 66 games while hitting .288 with three homers and 35 RBI. He also picked up 15 doubles and three triples while being a terror on the basepaths with 19 stolen bases in 27 attempts.
Last season saw Kelso continue his solid collegiate career by playing in all 58 games and leading the team with a .335 average. He hit 16 doubles, three triples, and two homers while driving in 23 runners. He also picked up 12 stolen bases in 19 attempts.
After the 2009 season, Kelso played in the Cape Cod Baseball League where he played in 46 games. He finished the summer with a .260 average while driving in 13 runs.
