The CBB continues our countdown for the 2010 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today with number 96 in our countdown with UT-San Antonio infielder Ryan Hutson. He from Round Rock High School in Round Rock Texas where he was a three year letter winner and a two year starter.
He struggled during his freshman season in 2008 where he played in 50 games (45 starts) while having a batting average of .246 with seven homers and 32 RBI.
Hutson had a breakout season in 2009 as he finished with a .343 average with a team high 17 homers while driving in 43 runs. He was also picked up 12 doubles and two triples to bring his slugging percentage to .719 which was good enough for second place on the team.
The one area he needs to work on is his defense as he made twelve errors in 2008 and eleven in 2009.
