Charleston Southern adds Sid Fallow to Coaching Staff

SidFallow CHARLESTON, S.C. – Head Baseball Coach Stuart Lake has announced the addition of former Citadel baseball player Sid Fallaw to his staff at Charleston Southern.

Fallaw played two seasons for Lake while at The Citadel.

"Sid was a tremendous competitor as a player, and I look forward to him instilling those characteristics into our players as well," Lake said. "Not only that, but I am very excited to add a person of such high character to our program. We have used the motto ‘Everything Counts’ in our program and Sid is a guy who believes in that as well."

A four-year starter at The Citadel, Fallaw played both catcher and pitcher, and was also used as the designated hitter at times.

Fallaw received numerous accolades during his playing career, including earning letters all four years at The Citadel.

He went to high school at W. Wyman King Academy in Batesburg, S.C., and was named All-Region Player of the Year in 2003, ’04 and ’05. He was a captain and was named High School Sports Report Player of the Year his last three years. He was named State Newspaper SCISA Player of the Year sophomore and junior years, and was an All-Region selection as a freshman.

Coaching experience includes being a baseball camp director at W. Wyman King Academy. He was also The Citadel camp/tournament director.

He played AAU traveling baseball for five years.

Fallaw graduated from The Citadel in 2009, and was on the Athletic Honor Roll his last three years.
