TroyBuckley Mike Weathers of Long Beach State announced on Monday the addition of Troy Buckley to his staff for the 2010 campaign. Buckley previously served as an assistant coach for seven seasons starting in 2002. He left Long Beach State to go to the Pittsburgh Pirates where he served as the coordinator of minor league pitching. Buckley had tons of success at Lon Beach State as he oversaw many star pitchers including three straight Big West Pitchers of the Year from 2002-2004.

Head Coach Mike Weathers says the following about the addition: "Obviously, we’re thrilled to have Troy back with the program. He’s our best recruit of the year, I know this was a difficult decision for him, because he was really enjoying his position with the Pirates. However, I think for his family’s sake and for his future that Long Beach State was the right fit for him."
