The Coppin State Eagles have released their 2010 baseball schedule. The Eagles will begin the season with a seven game road trip with stops at Longwood (Feb. 19-20), George Washington (Feb. 26-27), and Navy (March 3). They will then return home for seventeen straight home contests including weekend series against Iona (March 6-7), Lehigh (March 12-13), Maryland Eastern Shore (March 27-28), and Niagara (March 30-31).
Coppin State will then hit the road for weekend series at Norfolk State (April 2-3) and Delaware State (April 10-11) with a two game mid-week set at North Carolina State (April 6-7) sandwiched in between. Also on the schedule for the Eagles are midweek contests against George Mason (April 14 and 28) and Navy (April 29) to go along with weekend series at New Mexico (April 16-18) and Florida A&M (May 1-2) as well as home weekend series against Bethune-Cookman (April 24-25) and North Carolina A&T (May 8-9). The MEAC Tournament will be held May 20-23.
The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles will kick off the 2010 campaign on the road at Georgia Southern (Feb. 19-21) before returning to Cookeville for the home opening series against Cleveland State (Feb. 26-28). The Golden Eagles then make a quick road trip to take on in-state power Vanderbilt (March 2) before returning home for a weekend series against Bradley (March 6-7). Also highlighting the non-conference schedule for Tennessee Tech are games at South Alabama (March 9-10), Memphis (March 19-21), Tennessee (March 30), and Middle Tennessee State (April 20) as well as home contests with Buffalo (March 12-14), Middle Tennessee State (May 11), and Western Carolina (May 18). The Golden Eagles will have road Ohio Valley Conference series against Jacksonville State (April 2-3), Southeast Missouri State (April 10-11), Eastern Kentucky (May 1-2), and Tennessee-Martin (May 15-16). Teams visiting Cookeville for conference play are Eastern Illinois (April 17-18), Morehead State (April 24-25), Austin Peay (May 8-9), and Murray State (May 21-22).
