The Wenatchee AppleSox swept the Corvallis Knights 4-1 and 4-2 to win their third championship in the five years of the West Coast League’s existence.
Zach Gallagher (Columbia Basin CC) got the win in the first game, and Cody Keefer (UCLA) got four hits and two RBI.
Reedy Berg (Gonzaga) came through for the AppleSox again in the second game. He allowed one run on four hits in seven innings, struck out six. The AppleSox scored all of their runs in the second inning, on a two-RBI single by Jesse Moore (Hawaii), and RBI singles by Kyle Johnson (Washington State) and Josh Takayoshi (Pacific Lutheran).
