COCA COLA PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Justin Grimm, Cotuit RHP
The Coca-Cola Pitcher of the Week for July 26 through August 1st is Cotuit’s Justin Grimm(Georgia). On August 1st, Grimm was able to stymie a high-powered Bourne offense, surrendering only one earned run in a 6-2 win. Over his seven and a third innings of work, the 6-4 flamethrower scattered six hits while striking out 10. Grimm’s command was excellent: he did not walk a batter all night.

COCA COLA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Roller, Bourne 1B
Bourne’s Kyle Roller (East Carolina) has once again secured the Coca-Cola Player of the Week honor. Roller, who also earned the award for the first week of the season, powered his way to the honor this week by slugging three home runs. He batted .270 with two home runs, 22 runs batted in, and 20 runs scored in 2008 for the Braves, and his 12 doubles ranked him second in the league. Roller is a junior at East Carolina, and a former member of the C-USA All-Freshman team. He ranked third on the team last year with 12 home runs, and an impressive stat line included a .299 average and 50 runs batted in.
