GREENVILLE, S.C. — Furman head baseball coach Ron Smith today announced the addition of nine players to the Paladin program.
The latest nine join the six signees announced in November in giving Furman 15 new players for the 2010 season.
The most recent additions include middle infielders Matt Bona of Vero Beach, Fla. (Brevard Community College) and Christian Datoc of Atlanta, Ga. (Pace Academy); right-handed pitchers Brian Dudzinski of Lincroft, N.J. (Brookdale Community College), Emil Brignola of Marietta, Ga. (Walton High School) and Christian Hicks of Charlotte, N.C.; left-handed pitcher Andy Clifford of Charlotte, N.C. (Charlotte Christian Academy); first basemen Drake Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio (Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy) and John Patterson of Dallas, Texas (Richland Community College); and outfielder Clay Tucker of Anderson, S.C. (T.L. Hanna High School).
Patterson played for Furman in 2008 before sustaining a torn labrum that ended his season.
