Nicole Auerbach of The Cape Cod Times has an excellent article on former Arizona catcher Daniel Butler who signed a pro contract with the Boston Red Sox on Monday evening. Butler finished the 2009 college season with a .263 batting average in 27 games while hitting only 3 homers. After the season, Butler made the trip to play in the Cape Cod League where he started the summer with Yarmouth-Dennis before being released when Micah Gibbs showed up and latching on with Brewster. He has been lauded for his game calling skills as he has been calling his own game with Brewster for the past month.
