USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The Air Force baseball team is proud to announce the 18 members of the Class of 2013. The Falcons welcome 10 pitchers, four infielders, two outfielders and two catchers, as announced today by head coach Mike Hutcheon.

“I am very excited about the class of 2013,” Hutcheon said. “These young men are going to excel academically, militarily and athletically. I am proud of them for choosing to attend the Air Force Academy. These are high-character young men that come from wonderful families and have tremendous baseball talent.”

The class of 2013 boasts three All-Americans in catcher/outfielder Garrett Custons, catcher Travis Lane and infielder Matthew Roberts. Eight states are represented in the class, with 11 combined players from Florida (six players) and Texas (five players).

“The coaching staff has addressed many of our recruiting needs with this class and we can’t wait for the fall to get here to start working with these guys,” Hutcheon added. “These young men entering into the class of 2013, are joining a group of very strong leaders that have laid a strong foundation for success. This special group of returners, combined with the incoming freshman, have us all looking forward to the future of the program.”
