The third day of the blog’s trip to Omaha Nebraska for the College World Series started off with the site rolling out of bed at 9 am local time. I made the big trek down to the continental breakfast which was your hotel meal. After that we caught up on some local and national sports news before heading over to Rosenblatt. Once we got over to the ballpark we stopped by Zestos which is world renowed for their cheeseburgers and great milkshakes. This place was highly recommended by some of the national media and many of our loyal readers. For once on this trip, the food was outstanding and really worth the walk over to the stand across from the ballpark. What are they going to do when the new ballpark opens up downtown?
Once we got into the stadium, we saw a fantasticpitching duel between UNC’s Alex White and Arizona State’s Josh Spence. The second game did not disappoint as Southern Miss and Texas played a back and forth game between the Longhorns picked up the win in the bottom of the ninth.
