PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JESSE SAWYER, SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
SO., CALGARY, ALBERTA/CENTRAL MEMORIAL HS

Sawyer earns Player of the Week honors after leading SDSU to a 7-1 record, including a four-game sweep of WIU. He homered in six of the eight games and hit safely in all eight. For the week, Sawyer had a .500 average, scored 19 runs, had 15 RBI, 14 hits, nine home runs and two doubles. He also walked seven times, had a 1.536 slugging percentage and .641 on-base percentage.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
MARK SERRANO, ORAL ROBERTS SR., DOWNEY, CALIF./CYPRESS COLLEGE

Serrano collects his third Pitcher of the Week award this season after striking out a career-high 16 batters vs. NDSU. In the complete game win over the Bison, Serrano allowed only two hits and struck out two or more in six of his nine innings. He also pitched 3.0 innings in relief against No. 7 Arkansas, fanning seven. For the year, Serrano is 8-0 with a 2.00 ERA with 94 strike outs and only 16 walks.
