The North Carolina Tar Heels take over the top overall seed in this week’s edition of The College Baseball Blog NCAA Regional Projections. The Tar Heels have won five straight games, including a sweep over Miami (FL) in ACC play last weekend.
The Rice Owls come in as the second overall national seed followed in order by UC Irvine, Texas, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Arizona State, and Arkansas.
New hosts this week include Florida State, Virginia, Ole Miss, and Ohio State.
The SEC leads the way with eight teams in the field, followed by the ACC and Big 12 with seven each.
