#4 North Carolina 5 #9 Miami (FL) 4 (10 innings)
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Mark Fleury tripled and scored the game-tying run in the eighth and delivered a walk-off game-winning single in the 10th to lift No. 4 North Carolina to a 5-4 win over No. 7 Miami Saturday on dedication day of the newly-renovated Boshamer Stadium. With the victory, the Tar Heels (30-10, 12-7 ACC) clinched their fourth straight series win over the Hurricanes (26-12, 11-9 ACC) and took their third series from a top-10 opponent this season.
With the score knotted at four, Kyle Seager smacked Carolina’s season-best third triple of the day into the right field corner to lead off the 10th against Miami ace reliever Kyle Bellamy (3-1). The Hurricanes brought the infield in, but it would not matter as Fleury ripped a 2-1 pitch to right center to send the Tar Heels to their fifth walk-off win this season.
#11 Georgia Tech 8 Wake Forest 1
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Zach Von Tersch scattered three hits over six scoreless innings and the 10th-ranked Yellow Jackets (25-8-1, 12-5-1 ACC) smacked three home runs to down Wake Forest (20-18, 6-14 ACC), 8-1, Saturday evening at Gene Hooks Field at Wake Forest Baseball Park.
Georgia Tech collected 14 hits and scored runs in five different innings to win the season series against the Demon Deacons.
“(We are happy that) we have won the series, but now we have to be hungry and try get another win here tomorrow,” head coach Danny Hall said after the game.
#15 Florida State 4 NC State 2
RALEIGH, N.C. – Florida State (24-12, 11-7 ACC) needed just one swing of the bat Saturday night to record a 4-2 victory over NC State (19-20, 7-13 ACC) on Doak Field inside Dail Park. An eighth inning grand slam off the bat of Stuart Tapley was all the Seminoles needed to record their fourth straight victory over the Wolfpack.
“I am very excited about what I am seeing,” said head coach Mike Martin. “I know that there is still a lot of baseball left to be played, but to win a ball game on the road, when you’re behind in the seventh inning is certainly big.”
Boston College 9 #17 Virginia 6
Virginia Tech 7 #18 Clemson 3
BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech baseball team continued its excellent play on Saturday night before a season-high crowd of 2,672 fans, clinching its second straight ACC series with a 7-3 victory over No. 18 Clemson in game two at English Field.
Wearing their throwback uniforms, the Hokies pushed their winning streak eight games – their longest such streak since winning 14 straight in 1999 – and improved to 24-12 on the year and 9-10 in the ACC. The 24 wins marks Tech’s largest win total since winning 29 games in 2004. Clemson dropped to 25-14 overall and 11-9 in league play.
The Hokies were able to stay hot thanks in large part to starting pitcher Justin Wright. The sophomore left-hander took a perfect game into the fifth inning, and wound up allowing just two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks over eight-plus frames of work. He struck out five batters and improved his record to 4-1 on the year.

Duke 8 Maryland 4 (12 innings)
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Jake Lemmerman hammered a grand slam in the top of the 12th inning to lead Duke to an 8-4 win over Maryland Saturday evening at Shipley Field.
Lemmerman’s bomb cleared the scoreboard in left field and broke a 4-4 tie in extra innings after Duke loaded the bases with no outs in the 12th. It was the fourth multiple RBI outing in Duke’s last six games for Lemmerman, who finished 3-for-6 with four RBI and two runs. He was one of three Blue Devils who homered the game, joining Nate Freiman and Jeremy Gould, who tagged back-to-back solo shots in the fourth inning.
The first run Lemmerman scored put the Blue Devils (27-14, 10-10 ACC) ahead 4-3 in the top of the 11th inning in a game that featured five lead changes. Duke led 3-2 until the bottom of the eighth inning when Maryland’s Jensen Pupa laced a one-out, RBI single to erase a six-inning, two-run start from Duke left-hander Christopher Manno. Duke would go on to reclaim a 4-3 lead following Lemmerman’s go-ahead run in the 10th inning before the Terrapins (17-21, 5-15 ACC) tied the game again in the bottom of the 10th with a pair of doubles from Mike Rozak and David Poutier.
