Two High Schools making Waves

I usually don’t bring up too many high school baseball articles but thought these two were very interesting.

The first article come from Rivals.com which talks about Clovis West High School which has thrown three no-hitters in their first six games of the season. The interesting part is that each of the no-hitters was thrown by a different pitcher. The pitching staff consists of J.D. Salles, Jared Lee, and Sean Silva. Each of them is a Division 1 prospect with Salles heading to Fresno State, Lee going to UNLV, and Silva is currently undecided on his college plans. You can check out the full article by clicking here.

The next article talks about Tampa’s Patrick Schuster who tossed his third consecutive no-hitter recently. Schuster will be pitching for the University of Florida in the 2010 season if he isn’t drafted out of high school and get signed by a MLB squad. The full article is available by clicking here.

H/T to Deadspin for posting the article first.
