The College Baseball Blog would like to announce that Florida freshman outfielder/first baseman Preston Tucker as our Player of the Week while Kent State’s Brad Stillings picks up our Pitcher of the Week.
Preston Tucker had a fantastic week where he hit .522 (12 for 23) in five games. He was an RBI machine as he drove in 21 runners while scoring eight and hitting four home runs. He actually tied the SEC and school record for RBI in a game with 11 in a mid-week victory over UCF.
Brad Stillings was an obvious choice for Pitcher of the Week after pitching a complete game no-hitter against Toledo last Friday night. Stillings went all nine innings while only allowing no walks and striking out nine batters. He only allowed two base runners in the game which reached on a hit by pitch and an error.
