PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Henry • Ole Miss

- Henry continued to be a key component in the Rebel offense and critical to the Rebels posting a second straight series win in SEC play as he reached base safely in every game this week from the lead-off position … Henry was 7-for-17 with a team-leading seven runs scored and a team-leading five RBI on he week … He was also 5-for-6 in steal attempts.
- In the series opener against #24 Alabama, Henry again reached base safely in 4-of-5 plate appearances and went on to score in twice and also came up with two RBI…In comeback versus Memphis, scored three times and drove in winning run.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Matty Ott • LSU
Freshman • RHP • Metairie, La.
- Ott was superb on the mound last week, earning a win and two saves as the Tigers won four of five games … Ott made four appearances, recording 6.1 shutout innings while allowing just one hit … he recorded no walks and 10 strikeouts, and opponents batted .050 against him … Ott earned a win in LSU’s 2-1 win over Northwestern State on Tuesday…he picked up the save in LSU’s 6-3 victory over McNeese State on Wednesday.
- Ott was dominant in collecting a save at South Carolina on Sunday, as he pitched three perfect innings, striking out six of the nine Gamecock batters he faced.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

LHP • Tampa, Fla.
- Did not allow any runs over 8.1 innings last week and had a 7-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio…Held No. 17 Florida State scoreless over 4.1 innings in his fifth career start, the longest a Florida pitcher has gone into a game without allowing an earned run against the Seminoles since 2005.
- The southpaw’s five strikeouts matched his season total entering the game… Made his first relief appearance in the finale with Tennessee and tossed four scoreless innings.
