Here is your Day 1 Recap of the Oklahoma State Tournament.
Cal-State Fullerton 17 Rhode Island 3
Stillwater, Oklahoma – Billy Marcoe and Gary Brown each collected three hits and Jared Clark homered and drove in four as No. 6 Cal State Fullerton routed Rhode Island, 17-3, in the first game of a day-night double header at the Oklahoma State Tournament at Reynolds Stadium.
The Titans improve to 11-2 on the year and have now won 10 games in a row and all five on their current road trip. They will face No. 19 Oklahoma State at 5 p.m. Pacific time in the second game. Rhode Island drops to 7-3 on the year.
Tyler Pill (3-0) earned the win by allowing just three earned runs across for Rhode Island over seven innings of work. The freshman did surrender 11 hits on the afternoon but struck out five Rams without issuing a walk. Derrick Dingeman made his second appearance of the year in relief of Pill and didn’t allow a run or hit over the final two innings.

Cal-State Fullerton 8 Oklahoma State 4
Stillwater, Oklahoma – Tony Harkey drove in four and Jared Clark went 5-for-5 as No. 6 Cal State Fullerton beat No. 19 Oklahoma State, 8-4, Friday night in the second game of a day-night doubleheader for Fullerton at Reynolds Field at the Oklahoma State Tournament.
The Titans improve to 12-2 on the year and win their 11th straight game. It is also the Titans’ sixth straight win on their current road trip through The South and the second win over a ranked team this week.. The Cowboys fall to 11-3.
The Titans scored six runs, five earned off All-American Andrew Oliver (3-1) who was tagged with his first loss of the year. The southpaw worked seven innings and struck out eight while surrendering nine of the Titans’ 14 hits on the night.
