Our good friends over at Project Prospect recently did a profile on Missouri starting pitcher Kyle Gibson. (TCBB’s Profile) He is an interesting case as he has some outstanding talent but has struggled off and on during his collegiate career.Currently, Kyle is 2-1 with a 1.29 ERA in three starts totaling 21 innings pitched. I have seen Gibson throw in person once and was less then impressed as I saw him give up five runs against a NECBL team in one inning. He has an excellent slider but it can be difficult for him to control. We have some great video of Gibson which is embedded after the jump from his season in the Cape Cod League. You can check out Project Prospect’s profile on him by clicking here.
