We have come across a few links from around the country which feature some interesting college baseball news and notes. The first article comes from Baseball America who looks at the movers and shakers who have changed their draft stock in a positive or negative way through the first couple of weeks of the season. The Tufts Daily looks at the 2009 Tufts baseball team who is looking to win the NESCAC but have Trinity College (CT) blocking their way to the championship. The Sun in Hamburg NY has a profile on University at Buffalo head coach Charlie Karstedt who is starting to turn around the program in the competitive MAC. The official Xavier athletic site has a profile on Zac Richard whose intimidating presence at the plate and on the mound. The next link of the day comes from Division 3 school Lynchburg College where Jeff Taylor broke the school record for stolen bases in only his second season. The final link of the day comes from the South Florida Oracle which wrote a great article on Brandon Smith coming back after eight surgeries.
