I ran across four great articles about college baseball today. We will try to do this everyday until the end of the season, if you see an article send it to us by clicking here.
The first article of the day comes from CBS4 in Miami which talks about the Miami Hurricanes chances in the 2009 season. Coach Jim Morris considers this his least experianced team since he came to Miami in terms of starting position players. You can check ou the full article including some video by clicking here.
The next article comes from Baseball America writer Bryant-Jon Anteola who talks about Fresno State third baseman Tommy Mendonca. He discusses how much of an important factor he was during the Bulldogs magical run to the 2008 NCAA Championship. It also discussed how Tommy played with two dislocated fingers during the great run last year. The full article is available by clicking here.
The next article comes from Navy Media Relations who wrote a great feature on JD and Mitch Melton of the Naval Baseball squad. JD spent his freshman season at Wofford before deciding to transfer to Navy. It was not your normal transfer as JD had to repeat his freshman year at the Naval Academy thus making him a sophomore atheltically and only a freshmen academically. The move has been great on the playing field according to Paul Kostacopoulos. Mitch is enterning his sophomore season with the Midshipment and is competing for the starting catching spot this season. The full article is avaialble by clicking here.
Matt Lofton of Kent State Media Relations wrote a fantastic article on Brad Stillings. He started last season off rough with five straight losses but ended up finishing the year with another conference title for the Golden Flashes. Stillings spent the summer in the Cape Cod League where he picked up some national recognition. You can check out the full article by clicking here.
The final article of the day comes from The Corpus Christi Caller-Times writer Lee Goodard who previews the Texas A&M Corpus Christi baseball squad. The pressure is on the program to compete for the Southland Conference title in 2009 with some expectations this season. The full article is available by clicking here.
