Can you believe the weather? 70’s in February! We took full advantage of the fine atmospherics with a great week of practice. Scrimmages began on Saturday and the hitters looked as if they were in mid-season form, the teams combined for 27 hits. Sunday was much more balanced with good pitching and hitting.
The Shocker faithful will have a chance to meet the team on Tuesday at halftime of the men’s basketball game. So, come and meet all of the new faces and yours truly.
We are going to get a tune-up on February 15th. We will be entertaining some of your favorite Shockers of old. That’s right there is going to be an Alumni game. The Alum’s will be lead by Shocker great Kevin Hooper. You can bet it will be a fun game with plenty of ragging to be given on both sides of the field.
There are just a few short days until the opener. You can count on our guys to work as hard as we can to be ready for some fun in the sun. Fort Meyers, Florida that is!
