FRESNO, Calif. – Jordan Ribera returns for his sophomore campaign after starting 16 and appearing in 43 games as a freshman. Ribera recorded five homeruns, 16 RBIs and finished the year with a .215 batting average. Ribera took a moment after practice to sit down with gobulldogs.com and answer a few questions.

GB: Why did you choose Fresno State?

JR: My family attended Fresno State and all my family lives here. Fresno State was a chance to play close to home and have my family support me in the stands.

JR: I started playing baseball when I was three years old. I have always had a love for the game and all my friends played.

GB: What is your favorite thing about Bulldog baseball?

JR: My favorite thing about baseball here is my teammates and getting a chance to play with them. The friendships that I make with them are another great thing about Bulldog baseball.

GB: The best team that you have faced? What made them the best?

JR: Arizona State, they had extremely great players and great coaching staff.

GB: What is your pre-game ritual?

JR: My pre-game ritual includes lunch with my dad, Mountain Dew Amp, and a prayer.

GB: When you aren’t playing baseball you are…

JR: It depends on the season, in the summer wakeboarding, sleeping, eating, or surfing. In the winter, snowboarding, sleeping, or eating.

GB: What is something that most people don’t know about you?

JR: I love to cook and read.

GB: What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

JR: Striking out four times in one game.

GB: What is your favorite…?
