Fullerton starts Practice at Midnight

Fullerton, Calif. – February 1 marks the first day college baseball teams can practice and in front of more than 200 Cal State Fullerton faithful, the Titan baseball team began their 2009 season with an early-morning practice at Goodwin Field Sunday morning.

The Titans charged the field just after midnight in an attempt to become the first team to practice and the last team to play. THey started with stretching and throwing routines before an hour long 5-station batting practice session. At approximately 1:15 a.m., the first pitch fo the 8 and a half inning scrimmage began.

Approximately 50 die-hard fans stuck around to see the final out of the scrimmage.

The Titans open their 2009 season on Feb. 20 as they host TCU at Goodwin Field.
