Baseball America previews Division 2 and Division 3

Baseball America has put together previews of Division 2 and Division 3. They have Tampa as the best team in the country for Division 2. The Spartans are seeking their third title in the last four years. UC San Diego is listed as the second best team while Mount Olive who was the 2008 Division 2 champion are ranked third by Baseball America. Central Missouri and Florida Southern round out the Top 5. Baseball America has put Robbie Shields of Florida Southern as the top position player while Mike Adams of Franklin Pierce is the top pitcher. You can check out the full preview by clicking here.

The Division 3 preview is highlighted by SUNY Cortland who went 42-5 last season are picked to win the national championship. Chapman (CA) comes in at number 2 in the countdown while Trinity (CT) comes in at number 3 after going 45-1 last season with the lone loss in the first game in the championship game of the NCAA Tournament. The College Baseball Blog’s favorite Division 3 coach Ed Flaherty has his Southern Maine squad in the fourth spot. (You can check out Part 1 and Part 2). The final team in the Top 5 is Wisconsin-Whitewater. The top position player in Division 3 is Dan Kaczrowski from Hamline, Minn. and the top pitcher is Matt Tone from SUNY Cortland.
