AUSTIN, Texas — Longhorns baseball fans will have an opportunity to see some of their favorite Texas Exes in action as the annual Alumni Game returns to UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Sunday, February 8.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the event was not held during the 2008 season and the 2007 edition was held at The Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
First pitch for the game is slated for 1 p.m. Central, with the gates opening for batting practice at 10:50 a.m.
Randy Boone, J. Brent Cox, Brandon Fahey, Robby Hudson, Seth Johnston, Carson Kainer, Joseph Krebs, Dustin Majewski, Kyle McCulloch, Nick Peoples, James Russell, Kyle Russell, Huston Street, Drew Stubbs, Taylor Teagarden, Curtis Thigpen, Chance Wheeless and Kyle Yates are among the players expected to suit up for the Alumni.
Admission to the Texas Baseball Alumni Game will be free, but most parking lots around the stadium will be charging a fee due to the UT women’s basketball game at the Erwin Center.
The No. 4 Longhorns kick off the 2009 regular season on February 20 when they host Illinois-Chicago in a 3 p.m. game at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Texas will also host Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, February 15.
