Baseball America has put out their Preseason Top 25 which is led by the Texas A&M Aggies. They are coming off a 46-19 season which ended with a Super Regional appearance where they were swept by Rice. The Louisiana State Tigers come in at the number 2 spot after making the College World Series last season. North Carolina comes in at number 3 after another appearance in Omaha. Texas and Cal-State Fullerton round out the Top 25. You can check out the full Top 25 by clicking here. Remember, Baseball America has always had the most outrageous poll year in and year out as seen last year with UCLA in the top spot.

Baseball America’s top 25 always just seems to be OFF. A&M is a TOP 5 team but #1 Not yet.
Baylor at #8? No Oklahoma State? Strange to say the least, though it’s better than their preseason poll last season, which was a total joke top (UCLA at #1) to bottom (they had Rice way down at #19).
Baseball America put too much emphasis on pro prospects in rating college teams.
