The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper has put out their Preseason Division 2 Poll. They have defending national champion Mount Olive (58-6) in the top spot. They are followed by the Tampa Spartans (42-11-1) who made the Division 2 College World Series last year before being eliminated by Ouachita Baptist. Tampa won the Division 2 title in 2006 and 2007. The rest of the top five is rounded out by Central Missouri (47-17), UC San Diego (43-18), and Columbus State.
