Blair Angulo a writer for The Daily Bruin, which is the official student paper of the UCLA Bruins put out a recent article about the 2009 squad. The article looks at how the transition of the team which lost five starters from the 2008 season is coming together after fall workouts. The team only lost one starting pitcher in Tim Murphy so the pitching staff will be deep which should help out as the offense might struggle early in the year. The biggest steal for the Bruins was getting 28th overall pick in the 2008 MLB Draft in Gerrit Cole on the UCLA campus. Cole ended up turning down a reported six million dollar deal from the New York Yankees to head to LA. You can check out the full article from Blair Angulo by clicking here.
